Quick answer
Pick the DeWalt charger by the packs you own: the DCB1104 and DCB1404 pages list 12V MAX, 20V MAX and FLEXVOLT batteries, while the DCB1112 and DCB118 pages list 20V MAX and FLEXVOLT only. If you have any 12V MAX packs, a DCB1112 or DCB118 is the wrong charger. DeWalt's own DCB118 manual marks 12V packs as not charged.

What DeWalt says each charger charges
We read each model's DeWalt page on 2026-10-06.
| Charger | Packs per DeWalt's page | Rate and ports |
|---|---|---|
| DCB1104 | 12V MAX, 20V MAX and FLEXVOLT | 4 Amp |
| DCB1404 | 12V MAX, 20V MAX and FLEXVOLT 20V/60V | Up to 4 packs at 4 Amp per port; the page says as little as 32 minutes for four 2Ah packs and 67 minutes for four 4Ah packs |
| DCB1112 | 20V MAX and FLEXVOLT 20/60V ("all 20V MAX and FLEXVOLT batteries") | 12 Amp, fan cooled |
| DCB118 | 20V MAX and FLEXVOLT 20/60V | 8 Amp, fan cooled; the page lists a 6.0Ah FLEXVOLT pack in 60 minutes |
Two things to know:
- 12V MAX: the DCB118 manual's charger chart marks 12V packs (DCB120, DCB127, DCB080) as not charged. DeWalt's DCB1112 page doesn't list 12V packs either. Don't buy these two for a 12V MAX tool.
- Charge times: the pages for several of these chargers give "Charge Time" with no unit, so we don't quote them.
DeWalt's DCB115 and DCB118 manual also gives the charging temperature limits as +40°F to +104°F (+4.5°C to +40°C). If a charger refuses a cold pack, that is the range to check against.
Models we could not confirm
- DCB115: we couldn't find a live DeWalt page for it. The only Amazon listing we found was from a third-party seller, and a recent reviewer there says they were sent a DCB1104 instead. We aren't linking it.
- DCB107: DeWalt has no product page that we could read, only a kit page that lists it as a "12V/20V MAX* Li-ion battery charger". Amazon sells it from a third-party seller as a bulk-packed charger.
Black+Decker LCS1620B
This is a Black+Decker charger, not a DeWalt one. Black+Decker's page says it charges 12V MAX and 20V MAX lithium-ion slide-pack batteries, and the page lists a 2-year limited warranty. Buy it for Black+Decker tools, and use our compatibility checker before assuming any cross-brand fit.

The DCB1104 listing we checked is from a third-party seller, and a reviewer there suspects a refurbished unit without a box:

The DCB1404 listing's overview shows "Output Voltage 12 volts" while its title lists all three platforms, so go by DeWalt's page.
Aftermarket kits and "DCB112" chargers
Many aftermarket battery kits include a charger named for a DeWalt model. A name on a listing doesn't make it a DeWalt charger. Our aftermarket DeWalt battery guide covers what to check. DeWalt warranty terms are on its warranty page.
FAQ
Will a DCB118 charge my 12V MAX battery?
DeWalt's DCB118 manual marks 12V packs as not charged. Use a DCB1104 or DCB1404, whose pages list 12V MAX.
Do FLEXVOLT batteries charge on these chargers?
Yes. All four DeWalt pages list FLEXVOLT batteries.
Which is the fastest?
By amp rating on DeWalt's pages, the DCB1112 is the highest of the four at 12 Amp. Pack size and charge rate vary, so the manufacturer's charge times for your pack are the better guide.
